Let it be known that the public and businesses will expose to ridicule such decisions that invite it. At the same time we recognise that we need trading standards ; but we need trading standards run by a team that we can respect and in whose decisions we as a community can agree with. This is not a local issue but a national one and one that any citizen of our once, and yet to be again, great nation must engage with. It also goes well beyond trading standards. Either we start to regain control or we just give up and let the mad currents of a swirling sea direct our rudder. It is up to us.
